Chapter 167. Hide Well, or I’ll See Your Hair (3)
Before long, the duck boat reached the opposite side of the lake.
Nova climbed out and asked Victoria,
“What do we do next?”
Victoria read through the instructions Doctor Mozg had given them.
“Next it says, ‘Board village bus 2-1 while it is moving.’”
Yukgap stared at her in horror.
“You want me to ride a bus dressed like this?”
Walking around in these flowing women’s clothes was embarrassing enough.
Now he had to get on a village bus looking like this too?
Yukgap was speechless.
“Yukgap, just endure it a little longer.”
“Yeah. Just close your eyes and get it over with.”
Victoria and Nova, having guessed exactly what he was thinking, did their best to comfort him.
Right then, the village bus in question, number 2-1, appeared in the distance.
It was obviously packed with passengers.
I have to ride that?
Looking like this?
Yukgap could only swallow a silent scream.
“Uuuuuugh...”
[Hmm. I wonder if all three of them are moving properly by now.]
Doctor Mozg hummed to herself.
Leon cautiously asked after noticing how unusually excited she seemed.
“You appear to be enjoying yourself, Master.”
Doctor Mozg did not deny it.
[Of course I am.]
[I’m currently going head-to-head with the famous Abraxas.]
[It has been a long time since I felt this excited.]
“Didn’t you say even you would find fighting Abraxas difficult?”
[I did.]
[The information I gave those three will probably only buy them a few days at most.]
That naturally made Leon curious.
“Then why go this far?”
[Leon.]
[Do you know the one thing I am confident I possess that puts me ahead of the famous Abraxas?]
Leon respectfully lowered his head.
“How could I possibly presume to know your thoughts?”
Doctor Mozg answered firmly.
[Information gained through experience and verification.]
Pride could be heard in her voice.
[Abraxas’s computational ability is extraordinary.]
[It has reached a level even I cannot properly estimate.]
[But computation is ultimately nothing more than inference.]
[Information obtained through direct verification contains no error.]
[An approximate value inferred through calculation, however, will always leave some margin of error.]
Then Doctor Mozg added cryptically,
[And that margin of error is what decides victory and defeat.]
Village bus 2-1 rattled along the road.
Yukgap tightly gripped a hand strap and did his best not to pay attention to anyone around him.
Unfortunately, a man with an obviously masculine build wearing a flowing skirt was bound to attract attention no matter what.
Whispers about him continued without pause.
“Yukgap, are you okay?”
Victoria cautiously asked beside him.
Yukgap lowered his flushed face.
“Don’t talk to me.”
“I’m so embarrassed I want to die.”
While Yukgap endured his personal hell, Nova, who was sitting in one of the seats, quietly asked,
“What do we do after this?”
“Let’s see...”
Victoria casually read from Doctor Mozg’s instructions.
“‘After passing five stops, jump out through the window.’”
Yukgap turned toward her in shock.
“What?”
“Why?”
“I don’t know.”
“That’s what it says.”
Victoria showed him the paper.
At the very least, she was not making it up.
Yukgap let out a long sigh.
“What the hell is that floating brain thinking?”
Even as they complained, their destination was approaching.
Victoria hurriedly reminded him,
“Like I said before, all we can do right now is trust Doctor Mozg.”
She was not wrong.
Yukgap steeled himself and looked out the window.
Fortunately, there was nothing outside except an empty lot.
The bus was also gradually slowing as it approached the stop.
Jumping out under these circumstances probably would not be much of a problem.
“I’ll jump first.”
“I’ll catch you, so both of you follow after me.”
Yukgap calmly gave instructions.
Victoria looked concerned.
“Are you sure?”
“Jumping out of a moving bus is nothing to me.”
“I’ve done much worse.”
He had carried out all kinds of brutal missions for Abraxas.
Jumping from a moving village bus was so easy it was almost laughable.
“All right, I’m going!”
When they reached the target point, Yukgap threw the window open.
He launched himself outside.
At that exact moment, his foot caught on the flowing hem of his skirt.
“Huh?”
His body, which had been moving forward with great momentum, suddenly pitched over.
Yukgap spun through the air in a huge arc and was flung out of the bus.
“Ghuaaaagh!”
He crashed into the ground nearby.
THUD!
The impact echoed loudly.
Victoria and Nova stared in horror.
“What do we do?”
“Is he seriously hurt?”
“Let’s jump out too!”
Taking advantage of the slowing bus, the two jumped through the window.
Fortunately, neither of them caught their feet on their skirts and crashed embarrassingly like Yukgap had.
“Yukgap!”
