Chapter 46

Chapter 46

Some time later.

At last, the day arrived for Full Moon Restaurant to open.

Before dawn, beneath the bluish morning sky, Hong Man-gi stood in front of the new restaurant and muttered emotionally.

"Haa... I really made it this far."

His story had begun with an old food cart.

Now it was continuing inside a proper restaurant.

Beside him stood Lee Yu-han, wearing an expression mixed with nervousness and excitement.

Poming was also there, wagging her tail with even more excitement than usual.

"Wow, it somehow looks completely different now!"

"Hmm... this is nice. Hunter Kang Jae-min will definitely like it too...."

"Ah! Poming misses Hunter Kang Jae-min! When is he being discharged?"

"They said all he has left is rehabilitation, so he'll probably be back soon."

The restaurant was located in an alley not far from the dungeon entrance.

The place had once been a small cafe.

Now, it had a strange atmosphere that perfectly mixed the coziness of the old food cart with the stylish feeling of a cafe.

Outside, a calm dark-blue sign displayed the words "Full Moon Restaurant" in soft white letters.

Beside the entrance were several small flowerpots and simple congratulatory wreaths sent by people who had met Hong Man-gi during his food cart days.

There was a flashy ribbon from Seokhyeoi-ham that read,

"May Your Business Become a Huge Success! Joseon's Greatest Fist, Seokhyeoi-ham!"

There were also small succulent plants sent by Hunters who had fought beside Hong Man-gi in previous dungeons.

Even Mr. Kim, who had regained strength after eating the Tin Bludder Neck Muscle Steak, had sent an old orchid pot.

None of them were large or extravagant.

But every single one carried sincere congratulations and support.

When they opened the door and stepped inside, a warm and cozy space welcomed them.

The walls were painted a soft ivory.

Wooden tables and chairs left behind by the previous cafe owner created a simple and familiar atmosphere.

The old menu board Hong Man-gi had used since his food cart days hung on one wall.

Beside it were cute food illustrations that looked as though Lee Yu-han had drawn them himself.

The most noticeable area was the kitchen.

The cafe's original bar layout had been preserved to create an open kitchen, allowing customers to watch the cooking.

Hong Man-gi's treasured old pots and knives were neatly arranged across the counter.

In one corner, beside a small refrigerator, there was even a tiny area with a soft cushion that Poming liked.

They had not spent a huge amount of money on the interior.

Still, the entire place felt warm and comfortable, filled with the touch of its owner.

"Wow... Hunter Hong Man-gi. No matter how many times I look at it, it feels strange knowing this is really our restaurant."

Lee Yu-han looked around emotionally.

His eyes showed both disbelief and overwhelming happiness.

As someone who had always lived with his shoulders lowered as an F-rank Hunter, this was more than a workplace.

It was a precious place where he could grow new dreams and hopes.

"Yeah. This is our new beginning."

Hong Man-gi smiled with satisfaction.

Meanwhile, Poming flew excitedly around the restaurant.

"Wow! Chef! This place is completely Poming's style! It's cozy, warm, and it already feels like delicious smells should be floating everywhere! Just thinking about how many amazing dishes we'll create here makes Poming's heart race!"

For a moment, the two men silently enjoyed the excitement and anticipation of their new space.

After finishing their simple but meaningful opening preparations,

it was finally time for Full Moon Restaurant to welcome its first customer.

"Someone's here!"

"Oh!"

"Our first customer!"

The door opened.

Unexpectedly, the first customer was Reporter Park Seon-ju, who had taken the Silent Snow Bone lunchbox a few days earlier.

[Click, click]

She slowly entered the restaurant.

But her sharp and suspicious appearance from before was completely gone.

With an extremely emotional expression, she walked toward Hong Man-gi and suddenly hugged him.

"Uwaaaah! Mr. Hong Man-gi! Thank you! Thank you so much!"

The sudden situation shocked Hong Man-gi, Lee Yu-han, and Poming.

Poming immediately hid behind Hong Man-gi's shoulder.

Lee Yu-han stared between the two in confusion.

"Um... Reporter Park? What is this about...?"

Hong Man-gi awkwardly separated her and asked.

Park Seon-ju grabbed Hong Man-gi's hand with tears in her eyes.

"Na-jin... my friend Han Na-jin... she recovered her memory! She ate the lunchbox you made and, like a miracle, the memories from the accident returned!"

Her voice trembled with excitement.

"Thanks to that, she remembered the hit-and-run driver's appearance and part of the motorcycle's license plate number! We might finally be able to catch that bastard! I... I don't even know how to thank you...."

Park Seon-ju became tearful again.

The abalone porridge made with the Silent Snow Bone obtained from the dungeon had truly created a miracle.

Hong Man-gi sighed in relief and gently patted her back.

"That's wonderful. Really wonderful, Reporter Park. I'm genuinely happy your friend recovered those memories."

"I don't know how I'll ever repay you! Today I'll order everything on this menu! No, I'll buy everything! I, I got paid!"

Park Seon-ju shouted with a determined expression.

At that moment, Poming cautiously peeked out from behind Hong Man-gi's shoulder and whispered,

"Um... Chef? How much does that reporter earn?"

"Uh... I'm not sure."

Hong Man-gi shrugged.

A magazine reporter's salary was probably fairly ordinary.

Lee Yu-han whispered something into Poming's ear.

Poming tilted her head and muttered,

"Huh? If it's around that much... wouldn't a few cups of coffee already hurt her wallet? Ordering everything might be difficult. Maybe... she's planning to ask for credit...?"

At Poming's brutally accurate remark, Park Seon-ju's face immediately turned red.

She coughed several times and smiled awkwardly.

"Haha... I, I got a little too excited. Anyway! I'm treating everyone today! Give me the most expensive and delicious things you have!"

Hong Man-gi and Lee Yu-han burst into laughter at her exaggerated confidence.

The atmosphere quickly became cheerful.

A little later,

just as she had promised, Park Seon-ju began ordering and tasting the dishes at Full Moon Restaurant one by one.

Of course, Hong Man-gi gave her plenty of free service items and discounts after considering her salary.

She was amazed by the addictive taste of "Yu-han Special Ramen."

She became excited over the intense flavor of the newly introduced "Mala Chicken Skewer Tteokbokki."

Then she slowly drank while enjoying the warm fish cake soup and seafood stew Hong Man-gi prepared on the spot, as though melting away all the pain she had suffered over the last several days.

The cheerful and brilliant hours passed toward late night.

Park Seon-ju was pleasantly drunk.

After repeatedly expressing her sincere gratitude to Hong Man-gi, she suddenly seemed to remember something.

"Oh, right. Mr. Hong Man-gi. Have you ever thought about appearing on a TV cooking program?"

"What? Me?"

Hong Man-gi asked in confusion.

"One of my university classmates is the producer of a popular cooking program these days. It's called 'Blue and White Cooking King.' Have you heard of it? Amateur cooks compete by showing their hidden skills. The ratings are pretty high too."

Park Seon-ju's eyes sparkled.

"With your skill, winning there shouldn't be a problem. Want me to introduce you? Normally, tons of people compete just to appear, but if I connect you directly, you can skip all those annoying steps. My friend will definitely like you. 'Hidden Cooking Master Who Used to Be an F-rank Hunter.' Something like that would be huge!"

"Hmm... really? I don't know much about those programs."

Hong Man-gi tilted his head.

At that moment, Lee Yu-han dropped the chopsticks in his hand.

"W, wait. Blue and White Cooking King? You can really appear on that show?"

"You know it?"

"Of course! It was launched last year by a YouTube channel with three million subscribers! It already has three seasons, and each episode gets close to ten million views. It's a massive global program... You've really never heard of it?"

Hong Man-gi scratched the back of his head.

He genuinely had not.

Park Seon-ju continued in a drunken voice.

"It's the best opportunity I can give you, so think about it very carefullyyy."

Her sudden suggestion left Hong Man-gi speechless for a moment.

A television cooking program.

He had never even imagined it before.

'Hmm... if it's really that famous....'

Full Moon Restaurant had only just opened.

If he appeared on a program with that level of influence, then regardless of the final result, it would certainly help the restaurant.

'Should I try it...?'

A small curiosity appeared inside him.

Perhaps it could become an opportunity to introduce Full Moon Restaurant to even more people.

"I'm grateful for the offer, but I'm not sure whether my skill is good enough for something like that yet."

Hong Man-gi answered modestly.

However, unlike his words, his eyes had already begun wavering with interest.

Park Seon-ju seemed to notice.

She spoke confidently.

"What are you talking about? Your cooking is already professional level! I guarantee it! Think about it seriously. This is definitely a good opportunity!"

She wrote her producer friend's contact information on the back of her business card and handed it to Hong Man-gi.

"Here. Just say you were introduced by Park Seon-ju, class of 2011, Department of Journalism and Broadcasting at Jungyoung University. I'll tell him about you beforehand, so at least meet him once."

"Ah, thank you."

Hong Man-gi accepted the contact information and fell into thought.

'Blue and White Cooking King....'

It felt as though another new challenge in his cooking life was about to begin.

As a Hunter.

As a cook.

As the owner and businessman behind Full Moon Restaurant.

An opportunity to step into a much wider world from several directions.

"Okay. Understood."

Hong Man-gi answered confidently, as though there was no longer any need to think.

Then he raised his glass high.

"All right! To the huge success of Full Moon Restaurant, and to the huge success of our lives!"

"Oooh, nice! Cheers!"

"Cheers!!!!"

Like flowers blooming beautifully in an alley,

and butterflies and bees resting among them,

the three spent their time closely together.
