Still, Han Yugeon did not seem like he was trying to scam him.
Someone this powerful had spared his life and was even offering him a deal.
“So, how much are you paying?”
“I'll pay you with an item.”
“An item? If it's the remaining five hundred million won plus a request from someone as strong as you, we're talking several billion...”
“Legendary.”

“I'll give you a Legendary-grade item.”

Hwang Mungi's mouth dropped open at Yugeon's blunt answer.
Legendary items were still incredibly rare.
Hearing that Yugeon would simply give him one left him speechless.

It was useless to Yugeon and had no place in the future he was planning.
He intended to give that Legendary item to Hwang Mungi.
“You really... have a Legendary item?”
Hwang Mungi stared at Yugeon as if he still could not believe it.
There were not many Legendary items in existence.
As far as he knew, there were only around forty.
There were countless Awakeners across the world, yet only about forty Legendary items existed.
“You don't really have any choice except to believe me, do you?”

In the end, Hwang Mungi decided to trust Yugeon.

Every floor in the Tower was different in size.

Floor 23 itself was huge, but there was only one Rock Canyon, so finding the location was not difficult.
The problem was something else.

“They should be. Stealth isn't your only ability.”
Hwang Mungi possessed Stealth.
But his true specialty was movement.
Free and unrestricted movement.
That was Hwang Mungi's real strength.
With his abilities, he could move quickly between the cliffs and canyons.
“Seriously, who the hell are you? How do you know so much about me?”
“So, are you doing it?”
“No. I told you, I can't. Moving around isn't the problem. The monsters are.”
The canyon was home to Gargoyles, Rock Monkeys, and Harpies.
“The Harpies fly freely through the canyon. Because of them, I can't move between the cliffs.”
And if he traveled on the ground, the Rock Monkeys would swarm him.
Farther inside, Gargoyles hid inside the rock walls.
“Floor 22 was fine because the monsters were underground...”
Floor 23 was different.
Even entering as a full party was unbelievably difficult.
How was he supposed to go in alone and find an item?
“Don't worry about that part. I'll help you.”
“You'll help?”
“Finding the item is your job. I'll take care of the monsters.”

Did Yugeon even know how many monsters were on Floor 23?
Was he seriously saying he would wipe them all out?
“I'm telling you, I'll deal with the monsters. You can start searching after they're all gone.”
“Haa... Can you really kill all of them?”
“Yes.”
“Then why don't we just search together?”
“It'll take too long. Even with you searching, it'll probably take a while.”
That was exactly why Yugeon needed Hwang Mungi.
In fact, it was fortunate that Mungi had approached him first.

“What if other people come?”
Other Awakeners could enter the floor.
If they noticed that all the monsters were gone, they might interfere.

Yugeon paused.

“A black stone buried somewhere in the canyon.”

But digging through that massive canyon?

If he had to search that enormous canyon, he would probably need quite a few.
