Chapter 125. A Restaurant Like This Exists?! (4)
“I really couldn’t help it this time!”
Victoria was still furious.
“How does it make any sense for a grown man to feel that way about a minor twenty years younger than him?”
“As a woman, I couldn’t just let someone like that walk away!”
Unlike Victoria, Yukgap and Nova looked completely drained.
“Even so, beating him badly enough that he had to leave in an ambulance was too much.”
“Yeah. Way too much.”
Victoria tilted her head at their reaction.
“Should I have hit him hard enough that they needed a hearse instead?”
Yukgap and Nova exchanged looks and whispered seriously.
“What do we do? She doesn’t understand the problem at all.”
“Should we tell them to stop filming now?”
“At this rate, something even worse is definitely going to happen.”
Victoria, meanwhile, was already sitting back in front of the camera.
She even openly urged the crew to continue.
“All right, bring out the next guest!”
“Come on, hurry!”
Apparently, she intended to continue filming no matter what.
Yukgap shook his head.
“It’s hopeless.”
“Nobody can stop Victoria when she gets like this.”
Forced along by Victoria’s momentum, the host put on an awkward smile and resumed the program.
“Uh... then shall we meet our next guest? Hahaha...”
Even after everything that had happened, her determination to somehow produce usable footage was almost tragic.
The third guest soon entered the restaurant.
She was an elderly silver-haired woman wearing an old shawl.
“Hello.”
The old woman bowed politely to Victoria.
Victoria smiled brightly.
“Welcome!”
“What brings you to Restaurant Shelley?”
“I run an orphanage.”
The elderly woman began explaining her situation with difficulty.
“This time, I wanted to give the children some cake.”
“But because of our financial situation, I’ve never been able to let them eat as much cake as they wanted even once.”
Victoria already looked deeply moved after hearing only a few sentences.
“Oh, that’s so sad.”
“That’s why I applied to appear on this program.”
The orphanage director continued.
“Would it be possible to prepare cake for the children within our operating budget?”
“Of course we can!”
Victoria answered without hesitation.
This was it.
A perfectly ordinary, harmless problem.
Exactly what everyone had been waiting for.
The host quickly gave the kitchen a cue.
“Then shall we see the special menu Restaurant Shelley prepared?”
Yukgap, who had been waiting, held out a tray covered with colorful cupcakes.
“Here. Take these.”
Nova accepted the tray and tilted her head.
“Cupcakes?”
“I squeezed them into the limited budget they gave us.”
Yukgap explained indifferently.
“We’ll let the orphanage director taste one first.”
“Then we’ll make a large batch and donate them to the orphanage.”
“And they can film that part too.”
“A heartwarming scene.”
Nova could already picture the natural progression.
Colorful cupcakes.
The director tasting one and being delighted.
Then Restaurant Shelley donating boxes of them to the orphanage.
Simple.
Peaceful.
Completely uneventful.
“Let’s finish this quickly. I’m tired.”
“Got it.”
Urged forward by Yukgap, Nova carried the tray out.
This time, surely nothing would happen.
“Your special menu is ready.”
Nova presented the tray of cupcakes.
The orphanage director immediately showed interest.
“What are these?”
Victoria proudly explained.
“These are Restaurant Shelley’s special cupcakes.”
“We adjusted the recipe so they can be prepared within your orphanage’s budget.”
“But they still taste amazing!”
“Please try one!”
The director carefully picked up a cupcake and took a large bite.
Everyone held their breath as they watched.
Then a delighted sound escaped her.
“Oh, this is delicious.”
She chewed with a satisfied expression.
“I almost feel guilty eating something this good by myself.”
“The children will definitely love these.”
Victoria looked touched by the praise.
“Director...”
“Thank you for preparing such a wonderful menu for our children.”
The elderly woman even bowed gratefully.
Watching from the kitchen, Yukgap quietly celebrated.
“Good.”
“This one’s actually going to end normally.”
All that remained was to make enough cupcakes for the orphanage and donate them.
Then Victoria could pose for a wholesome shot in front of the building.
A peaceful, happy ending.
Exactly what everyone had been hoping for.
“Wait!”
Victoria suddenly raised her voice.
Her eyes were now burning with an entirely different kind of passion.
“W-What is it?”
The orphanage director asked, startled.
Victoria abruptly grabbed both her hands.
“Trust me!”
“On the honor of Restaurant Shelley, I’ll make sure those children can eat their fill of cupcakes every single day!”
“What?”
