Chapter 160

Chapter 160. You’re Stronger Now, Charge! (2)

“That sounds like a line that’s violating all kinds of copyright, but I guess that doesn’t matter right now.”

Yukgap staggered back to his feet.

The antibody Victoria had created worked even better than expected.

Not long after the injection, breathing became easier, and the pain in his chest began to fade.

At this rate, he felt like he could rampage as much as he wanted.

“Aaaaaagh! What are you doing?!”

At that moment, No. 3 screamed in agony as the red mist swallowed him.

A few steps away, No. 5 was actively controlling her nanomachines.

“I’ll help.”

“You’ll have trouble handling him alone.”

No. 5 spoke in her usual indifferent tone.

Yukgap raised his dagger and answered casually,

“It’s fine.”

“I can handle a guy like that myself.”

He leaped into the air and hurled his dagger with all his strength.

The blade tore through the red mist and struck No. 3’s right hand with tremendous speed and force.

With a dagger buried in his only good hand, No. 3 staggered and groaned.

“Ghk!”

The longsword in his grip wavered.

Yukgap did not miss the opening.

He immediately jumped forward and closed the distance.

“You know something?”

“Knife skills are one of the basic requirements of being a chef!”

“So what?”

No. 3 looked like he had no idea what Yukgap was talking about.

Yukgap swung his dagger and shouted,

“What you do, swinging a blade around like an idiot, doesn’t count as knife work!”

Yukgap’s dagger carved a wide arc across No. 3’s right hand.

The hand was already weakened by the embedded dagger, and the additional strike forced another groan from him.

“Ghk! What are you doing?!”

The impact was strong enough to knock the longsword out of No. 3’s hand.

And that was exactly what Yukgap had been aiming for.

“Dicing!”

Yukgap crossed his daggers and slashed.

Precise, powerful knife strikes tore across No. 3’s body.

But Yukgap had no intention of stopping there.

“Bias-cutting!”

Another rain of slashes poured down like a violent shower.

At the same time, Yukgap steadily increased his speed.

“Julienning!”

Four strikes per second.

Sixteen.

Sixty-four.

One hundred and twenty-eight.

As Yukgap accelerated, his daggers flashed faster and faster until they broke through the speed of sound.

Having already lost his weapon, No. 3 could do nothing but take the attacks head-on.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!”

The relentless barrage came too quickly for him to respond.

Only his tearing screams filled the area.

Determined to finish it, Yukgap leaped high into the air.

“And finally... mincing!”

With that shout, he put his full weight behind a kick straight into No. 3’s chest.

Already dazed by the endless attacks, No. 3 could not withstand the impact.

His huge body was launched far backward.

“Perfect.”

No. 5 immediately activated her nanomachines.

They surged upward and began corroding the ceiling.

It was already covered in cracks, so chunks of the structure quickly collapsed.

“Ghk!”

Most of No. 3’s body was buried beneath the falling debris.

He could only let out a strangled groan.

Yukgap caught his breath.

“You won’t die from being buried under that.”

“Cool your head for a while.”

Pinned beneath the rubble, No. 3 growled.

“I’ll kill you.”

“Somehow, I’ll... chew you to pieces and kill you...”

His eyes burned with undying hostility.

He looked like a wounded beast driven into a frenzy.

Yukgap could not have cared less.

He kicked No. 3 hard in the head.

“What are you babbling about, idiot?”

“Ghk!”

No. 3 immediately lost consciousness.

Yukgap looked down at him, breathing heavily.

No. 3 was unquestionably stronger in raw power and offensive ability.

If Victoria and No. 5 had not helped, Yukgap would probably have lost.

“We need to run!”

Victoria urgently shouted while he was still thinking.

“Against Abraxas’s Archons, all we’ve done is buy time!”

Yukgap quickly looked around.

“What about the sisters?”

“They all evacuated!”

“We’re the only ones left!”

Thankfully, the others had managed to escape safely while they fought.

[What are you doing?! Get up right now!]

Alpha’s furious voice rang out from the laboratory monitor.

She seemed beside herself after watching No. 3 and No. 4 get defeated.

Victoria silently stared at her for a moment.

Then she spoke slowly.

“Stop it, Alpha.”

Alpha cried out desperately.

[Don’t go, Victoria!]

[I can give you anything you want!]

Apparently, seeing the Archons she had sent defeated had made her anxious.

Victoria looked coldly at her.

“Friendship isn’t like this.”

“I don’t play with people who hurt my friends.”

Then Victoria clenched her fist and punched the monitor with all her strength.

Alpha’s image shattered instantly.

[Victoriaaaaaa!]

Alpha’s distorted voice came through the broken screen.

It sounded desperate.

And painfully sad.

“I’m going to collapse this area.”

“That should make pursuit difficult.”

“You two escape while you can.”

With the immediate battle over, No. 5 scattered her nanomachines around the laboratory.

Yukgap looked at her.

“What about you?”

No. 5 bared her sharp fangs in a grin.

“Don’t worry about me.”

“Just run.”

“I’m perfectly capable of shaking off Abraxas on my own.”

Her nanomachines gradually began disassembling the surroundings.

Apparently, she intended to bring the entire underground laboratory down.

“Come on.”

“It’ll be dangerous if we stay any longer.”

Victoria urged Yukgap, who still could not take his eyes off No. 5.

Yukgap turned toward the emergency exit and added one final sentence.

“Don’t die.”

No. 5 said nothing.

Yukgap stared at her for a moment longer.

Then he turned and sprinted toward the emergency exit.

Not long afterward, a tremendous roar of collapsing structures echoed behind them.

“Escaping was one thing.”

“But where do we go now?”

Nova asked, breathing heavily after they had fled outside.

They had deliberately escaped to a remote area to avoid bringing further danger to the sisters.

Yukgap calmly analyzed the situation.

“No matter where we go, we probably can’t escape Alpha’s eyes.”

“She can monitor us through the global internet whenever she wants.”

Victoria cautiously suggested,

“What about Restaurant Shelley for now?”

“That’ll be the first place they find us.”

“Too dangerous.”

Yukgap immediately shook his head.

Restaurant Shelley had already been exposed to the Archons several times.

If Abraxas began searching, it would almost certainly be the first place they checked.

“Is there anyone we can ask for help?”

Nova cautiously asked.

Yukgap sighed and shook his head.

“No.”

“And even if there were, helping us would put them in danger too.”

“The Archons could kill them.”

“True.”

“The sisters at the Herrington Convent were put in danger too.”

Nova nodded in agreement.

Then Victoria suddenly raised
