Chapter 110. God Does Not Play Dice (4)
“Unload everything!”
Victoria shouted excitedly.
At her command, Robert continued firing without pause.
[Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate!]
Smoke and thunderous explosions filled the area as Robert’s attacks poured out in every direction.
Thanks to the enormous disturbance they had caused, the Abraxas employees nearby had already fled.
Then, while the two were still rampaging, armed soldiers suddenly poured out of the ship.
They quickly surrounded Victoria and Robert with practiced movements.
“Aim!”
One of the soldiers at the front raised his voice.
Dozens of gun barrels immediately turned toward them.
“Fire!”
Gunshots erupted from every direction.
Robert instantly raised the armored plates covering his body.
[Protection mode engaged!]
But several of the incoming rounds had already struck Victoria.
She swallowed a groan and dropped to one knee.
“Ghk!”
Robert hurriedly checked on her.
[Doctor, are you all right?]
“It hurts a little.”
Victoria panted and forced herself back to her feet.
Her eyes fell on the rubber bullets scattered across the ground.
They were not lethal rounds.
They were meant for suppression.
Which meant the soldiers had no intention of directly killing her either.
Victoria had no idea why, but if that was all they were using, she could endure it.
“You’re going to need more than rubber bullets to hurt me.”
As Victoria stood her ground, Robert’s eyes flashed.
Gun barrels emerged from all over his body.
With ominous mechanical sounds, they turned toward the surrounding soldiers.
[I will counterattack.]
The next barrage was on an entirely different scale from what he had fired earlier.
Bullets and explosives erupted in such numbers that it was difficult to imagine where he had been hiding all those weapons.
The soldiers screamed and scrambled away from the incoming wave of firepower.
“Gaaaaah!”
“Ghk!”
“Everyone, move!”
Watching the soldiers scatter, Victoria quickly added,
“Don’t kill them.”
“Yukgap will get mad.”
[That is precisely why controlling the output is difficult.]
While they were still confronting the soldiers, someone slowly approached from the distance.
He was a brown-skinned man with a blunt expression.
He shouted at the soldiers around him.
“All of you, move aside!”
“I’ll handle that thing.”
His skeleton twisted as soon as he finished speaking.
Moments later, he transformed into a massive crocodile.
His body was covered in thick scales that looked almost like armor, and simply looking at him gave off an overwhelming sense of pressure.
“You’re an Archon too, aren’t you?”
Victoria immediately realized what he was.
The man answered indifferently,
“I am No. 10.”
“I’ve heard quite a lot about you.”
“I regretted not getting the chance to properly introduce myself when we went to Gangwon Province.”
“It seems we finally get to meet.”
The moment he finished speaking, pitch-black liquid surged over No. 10’s body.
It wrapped around him like a coating.
Soon he looked like a massive statue carved from black obsidian.
He stared down at Victoria and Robert.
“For your information, I am the toughest Archon.”
“Toy weapons like those won’t do anything to me.”
Victoria did not know the exact details, but that had to be No. 10’s overtechnology weapon.
She immediately spoke into her earpiece.
“Kevin, what do I do?”
[The die landed on ‘Fight.’]
[Fight him.]
Victoria and Robert’s eyes lit up at the same time.
“I’ve been waiting to hear that!”
“Robert, time for the finishing move!”
[Extermination mode engaged!]
Robert’s chest opened with a series of mechanical clicks.
Then a massive cannon rose from inside.
It was incomparably larger and more vicious-looking than any of the weapons he had used so far.
Victoria pointed at No. 10.
“Robert, that’s an Archon!”
“No need to hold back!”
“Blow him away!”
Robert immediately aimed the cannon at No. 10.
[The age of humanity has come to an end!]
With that declaration, an enormous mass of fire erupted forward.
No. 10 made no attempt to dodge.
The massive blast struck him directly.
But nothing happened.
The flames vanished with a thunderous explosion the moment they hit his body.
Yet not even the smallest scratch appeared on No. 10.
It was as though nothing had happened at all.
“Is that it?”
No. 10 sneered.
Victoria stared in disbelief.
“Huh?”
She had suspected he would be durable, but she had never imagined he would take Robert’s finishing move head-on without even flinching.
No. 10 opened his enormous jaws and charged toward Robert.
“Then it’s my turn!”
No. 5 activated her beast form and quietly climbed the outer hull of the ship.
Her sharp claws and body built for clinging to surfaces made this kind of infiltration her specialty.
She had never imagined she would one day use that ability against Abraxas itself.
“Thick.”
No. 5 tapped the ship’s outer wall several times.
Whatever they were transporting had to be important.
The hull looked several meters thick.
She calmly gathered her nanomachines.
“This will take time to fully disassemble.”
Fortunately, the overtechnology weapon Abraxas had given her consisted of nanomachines capable of disassembling virtually any inorganic substance.
It would take time, but breaking through the ship’s hull was not impossible.
“Would you like some help?”
